Palmenco has been developing hardware for vehicle video since the early 1990s, keeping pace with technology evolution from VHS to HI8, DV, and now fully digital formats. With each technological shift, the complexity has increased, but so have also the possibilities.
The demands for security, especially in video imaging to be used as evidence, have always been high and remain a focal point for us.
Today, our video equipment is primarily used for traffic behavior monitoring, where video evidence is crucial. This can include dangerous overtakings, running red lights, crossing solid lines, and similar traffic violations that endanger both the driver’s and others’ lives in traffic.
As our ARES system is built in-house we can offer our clients a complete custom solution to fit very specific needs.
ARES
ARES is a comprehensive video solution for speed enforcement and traffic monitoring. The system has been developed from the ground up, focusing on measurement accuracy and ensuring the integrity of both image and measurement data. Each frame is uniquely identified and validated to prevent data loss.
Succeeding the OSIRIS system, which is used daily by law enforcement in Scandinavia, ARES offers a user-friendly interface and incorporates the advantages of OSIRIS on a more robust and flexible platform.
The image stability of ARES has been verified by RISE, and its video files are currently accepted as evidence by police in the Nordic countries.
The ARES platform is designed for customization and is prepared to accommodate future requirements through expanded functionality.

ARES CX10
ARES CX10 is the standard camera designed for the ARES video system. It is developed for vehicle environments and can be controlled via the system’s remote control or a digital interface.
The camera communicates with the main system using a single coaxial cable, which efficiently provides both power and video data transmission.
The CX10 is available in two versions: a water-protected model for enhanced durability in harsh environments, and a variant featuring a camera filter mount that enables the use of specialized image filters for specific applications.

ARES CX30
The ARES CX30 is a large zoom camera designed for the ARES video system. It excels in low-light conditions and is optimized for vehicle environments. The camera can be controlled via the system’s remote control or a digital interface.
A single coaxial cable provides both power and video data transmission, simplifying installation. The CX30’s rugged construction and advanced capabilities make it ideal for demanding mobile video applications, delivering high-quality, long-range imaging in a compact and durable package.
